It's amazing, what those inventive Market folks can do with a 4 foot by 4 foot space. Many choose to just use tables or racks of some kind, but some build little tiny versions of the classic wooden Market booth, like Jennifer Fogerty-Gibson. Jennifer's booth is a particularly fine example of how a small space can really work to highlight products. Jennifer uses found and collected objects to create all kinds of art, and her booth reflects her work perfectly. Measuring tape and clothes pins hold up her sign. A small table (her grandmother's) is overturned for a display table and rack for necklaces. Its distressed finish adds charm and texture, as do assorted scarves and tablecloths. The artful, well organized jumble of the whole display makes the entire booth look like one of her intriguing collages.

This is Jennifer's first season at Saturday Market, she started back in May. She's been making her collage art for about four years, and is particularly intrigued with vintage photographs and how they give and take meaning from other juxatposed found objects. Her pocket shrines, made from recyled Altiod tins, are particularly evocative, and popular! You can also find glass/photo necklaces, collaged journals, cards and other artwork in her Beautiful Booth. Jennifer frequently displays her work in local gallery spaces. You can find Jennifer, her booth, her cool goods and lots of other great recycled art artisans on what's rapidly becoming known as "Recycle Row" along the edge of the Fountain block on West Park.
