Barbara Irvine's booth used to be filled with pottery. It looked just fine filled with colorful mugs, plates, and decorative pieces. Completely redesigned to display photographs, it is truly beautiful. It's tough to display weather sensitive items like photography at Saturday Market, but Barbara and her husband Blair have created a very effective display system on the walls. Carefully modified tarps protect the walls from the elements, while adding illumination. The height of the arched roof gives the booth an airy gallery feel. Lined baskets display unframed photographs in an easy-to-browse format.

Barbara has been selling at Saturday Market for about twenty years. She started out selling pottery, and continued selling it until the end of last season, when she decided to focus all her efforts on selling her photography. She has also sold quilting and fiber arts. She started selling her photos at Holiday Market three years ago, and her interest in photography has increased with her Photoshop skills. She sells both unaltered photos and photos that she has transformed into fascinating collages. Her work centers on the natural world, particularly plants and landscapes.
